Oil painter, Carol Hallock lives in a home on stilts on the banks of Bayou Lacombe. She often paints from her kayak. One of her favorite subjects is "Geraldine" the egret.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge and a graduate of Louisiana State University, Carol loves the unique beauty of her homeland.
Acclaimed for her use of expression and color, Carol has gained widespread respect for her evocative regional, nautical, swamp and tropical scenes. Her originals and prints are found in collectdions across the Untied States and worldwide. She has created "step by step: painting DVD's entitled, "Loose Painting in Oils" Vol 1 and II. Volume 1 is currently being shown on over 70 access television channels in 16 states across the ntaion and Capetwon, South Africa.
Locally, originals can be seen at Jean Bragg at 600 Julia Street in New Orleans and Elizabethan Gallery at 680 Jefferson in Baton Rouge . Originals are also in galleries in Florida.
