Janell E. O’Halloran is a fine art photographer living and working in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her BFA from Louisiana State University and aspires to complete an MFA in the near future. Her father, also an avid photographer, exposed her to the medium at an early age and inspired her to pursue a career in photography. Janell’s artworks consist of traditional and historical photographic processes combined with digital technology. She enjoys exploring alternative processes, and hand painted elements to give each image a unique and textured look. The small imperfections that are inherent to alternative photography act like a signature in the same way brushstrokes embody a painter’s style.
